In this blogpost, I want to show you how to cleanse and charge your crystals.
Cleansing our crystals is how we clear energies from our crystals after we use them, whether we wear them or use them around the house.
You should also cleanse and charge new crystals that you’ve purchased before using them.
Now, if you are like me, and you have a lot of crystals [guilty], this could become a daunting task because you just have SO MANY!
You may think, oh my gosh, I have to cleanse them ALL, and I have to place them under the moon to charge them! That’s a lot of work!
Well, I have a shortcut that I would like to share with all of you… USE MOON WATER!
Moon Water is what I use to cleanse AND charge my crystals.
But how do you make moon water?
I like to recycle stuff, and what I like to do is repurpose glass jars. I take the original labels off and create my own labels with the date and some info of when I collected this moon water.
What info? Check out the label in the pic…
This label says “MOON WATER, July 5, 2020 Full Moon, Lunar Eclipse, Moon in Capricorn”
I fill these glass jars with clean, filtered water and tighten the lid. When the full moon is at its highest point, I will put my water jars outside under the moonlight overnight.
During the night the moonlight CHARGES this water. You can use this water for a lot of different spiritual practices, but that’s information for blogpost!
Since I am a Reiki Master, either before I set them out or after the water has been charged, I will send Reiki to the water using some of the symbols. [Again, more info for a different blogpost]
Now, since I have so many crystals, I will need to use more materials to cleanse and charge them all, but for this blogpost I will only use my Reiki crystals and one bowl and my moon water.
The Reiki crystals we are cleansing in this blogpost are the ones I use in my bedroom. I use some under my pillow for astral travel; some are for a grid I create around bed for peaceful sleep; and some that I use in my bedroom for peace, love, and harmony. Also in this bowl are some new crystals that I just purchased and a few protective crystal bracelets as well.
I use a Pyrex glass bowl that has a lid. It is best to use glass because plastic tends to release chemicals, and we want our crystals to be free and clear of chemicals. If you don’t have a lid for your container, you can use a towel to cover the bowl. Or you can use a recycled jar!
So, I pour some chunky pink Himalayan salt into the bowl, and I add the crystals I am going to cleanse and charge. Then I add the charged moon water and I cover the bowl with the lid.
I let my crystals sit in this bowl for anywhere from 12-24 hours. I do this for crystals that I use often, but if I am cleansing and charging crystals that I don’t use often, or I have not used since the last time I cleansed and charged them, the time is much shorter, a few hours is fine.
So, when the prescribed time has passed, I like to rinse my crystals with fresh water and set them out to dry. If I’m in a hurry or have a client coming, I’ll dry them with a nice soft towel.
And now, your crystals are ready to be used!
Enjoy using your newly cleansed and charged crystals, and if you have any questions, feel free to post them in the comments section below.
Look for a new video I will create to give you step-by-step instructions!
Love and light to all!
